Winterization

If your Plunge All-In is located outside and the temperature falls below freezing for any length of time, please winterize your Plunge to protect it from damage.

  1. Turn off and unplug the Plunge
  2. Open up the top of the filter canister and remove the filter
  3. As you face the LED Display Screen Open the right side ventilation screen.
  4. Remove the drain cap from the Main Drain
  5. Connect a garden hose to the Main Drain and open the valve
  6. Let the tub drain completely. Keep in mind that gravity effects the rate that the tub drains. For instructions on how to drain the Plunge All-In, please go here.
  7. Close the Main Drain valve and replace the drain cap. Be sure to check and make sure the clear rubber o-ring is in the drain cap before replacing
  8. Replace right side vent
  9. On the other side of the Plunge, there is another drain specific for completing the winterization process beneath the left side ventilation screen. This drain will empty the filter housing and internal jet piping.
  10. Open the ventilation screen and locate the winterization drain
  11. Remove the drain cap from the Winterization Drain
  12. Connect a garden hose to the Winterization Drain and open the valve
  13. Let the rest of the water drain out. There may be only about a half a gallon to one gallon of water left.
  14. Close the Winterization Drain valve and replace the drain cap. Be sure to check and make sure the clear rubber o-ring is in the cap before replacing
  15. Replace Winterization Drain ventilation screen
  16. Check to see that all the water has drained out of the filter canister. Using a sponge or towel, soak up and remove any remaining water.
