Read First Before Setting Up the Plunge

Please read the safety precautions before continuing.

Water Chemistry Outline

  • We recommend showering prior to use for anyone using the Plunge. This will help maintain the chemical balance in the water.
  • Important note: keeping the Plunge All-In outside will shorten the lifespan of the chemicals due to UV rays and more organic material entering the water.
  • The Plunge All-In should not be filled with well water. Please make sure to properly strip the
  • water with an ion exchange filter before filling the Plunge if you are on well water.
  • The Plunge All-In maintenance protocol is based on cold water only. For more details please refer to this article: Caring for the Residential Plunge All-In.

Drain Information

  • Main Tub Drain: When you are facing the tub LED display screen, the main tub drain is located in the right hand vent. The primary purpose of this drain is to empty the tub.
  • Jet and Filter Housing Drain: When you are facing the tub LED display screen, the jet and filter housing drain is located in the left hand vent. The only use for this drain is to empty the jets and filter housing for storage/winterization. If used instead of the main tub drain, there will be 3-4 inches of water still left in the tub.
  • Heat Exchanger Drain: When you are facing the tub LED display screen, the heat exchanger drain is located in the right hand vent with a small blue ball valve. The only use for this drain is to empty the heat exchanger for storage/winterization. You will not need to use this drain on a routine basis

Important warranty information
Please note that damage caused by freezing conditions or improper water chemistry are not covered under our warranty.

Please monitor your Plunge daily when the outside temperature is below freezing to ensure constant flow. If your Plunge doesn’t have a heater and temp is below 32°F for 12 hours, you must drain the Plunge, filter and chiller.

Using an Extension Cord Outdoors

If you plan to use an extension cord, it needs to be 12 gauge to give the plunge sufficient power up to 25 feet. Please refer to NEC requirements for your jurisdiction.

If you place your Plunge outdoors and use an extension cord, you will need to use a Weatherproof Connection Box – Indoor & Outdoor Electrical Power Cord Enclosure to protect the cord. If you need more information you can reach out to our Plunge Experts by submitting a request ticket on our Help Center or calling us at (916) 914-8911.

Set up

Step 1: Location requirements

  • Place the Plunge on a solid, level, waterproof surface.
  • When you place the Plunge you want to make sure there’s at least 16 inches of clearance on end with where the component parts live for ventilation.
  • On the front side there should be at least 12 inches of space to access the drain and for ventilation.
  • As you face the LED Display, the left side only needs 4 inches from the wall.
  • We recommend having around 4 inches of clearance from the wall on the other end of the tub from the LED Display so you can lean your head back.

Not following these location requirements may lead to damaging the Plunge and voiding your warranty.

Step 2: Fill The Plunge

  • Attach the included carbon hose filter to a garden hose.
  • Run water through it into a drain until the water turns clear.
  • Then, fill the Plunge with water.
  • While the Plunge is filling, check to make sure the filter housing screw cap is hand tightened.
    • Press the side of the circular decorative cover to lift it off to reveal the screw cap.
    • Unscrew the cap to check and make sure the filter is seated inside the filter housing and the O-ring is seated in the crevice of the filter housing.
    • Screw the cap back on and hand-tighten. It should screw on smoothly with no resistance.
    • Place the decorative cover back on.

Step 3: Plug In the Plunge

  • Once the tub is full you can plug your Plunge into an outlet with a dedicated 120V 15 amp circuit. Note: If there are other appliances on the same circuit, the Plunge may not operate. Please make sure it is plugged into a dedicated circuit.
  • The Plunge cord is approximately 14 feet long. If you plan to use an extension cord, it needs to be 12 gauge to give the plunge sufficient power, no more than 25 feet long. Please refer to NEC requirements for your jurisdiction.
