Bluetooth Device Not Showing After Scanning

If you are encountering issues where the bluetooth device isn't appearing during a scan this article will help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue quickly.

 

Check pairing mode

The first time your Plunge is plugged in, it will be in pairing mode. However, if it isn't or for some reason you need to reconnect to it again, you can put it back in pairing mode by following the how to put back into pairing mode how-to.

 

Allow the Plunge app to use bluetooth

When you first launch one of our IoT products, you will be asked to allow the app to use bluetooth. You need to make sure you select "Allow". If for some reason you didn't select "Allow", you will need to go into your settings for our app to allow it.

 

Confirm Proximity

Bluetooth has a limited range, typically up to 10 meters (33 feet). Make sure the devices are within this range.
