Red Light Panel Is Not Turning On

If your red light panel is installed and connected but not responding, work through the steps below in order. Most issues come down to either the activation sequence or a loose connection somewhere along the power path.

Please take photos or videos at each step of the troubleshooting process. If we need to order replacement parts, our Support team will use these to process your warranty claim.

Step 1: Activate the Red Light Outlet

The red light outlet has a built-in safety activation that must be enabled each time the sauna is powered on. If this step hasn’t been completed, the panel won’t receive power regardless of the connection.

With the sauna powered on, press and hold the Chromotherapy and Accent buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. You should hear a beep from the red light panel confirming the outlet is now active.

Note: This activation is required every time the sauna is powered on. See the Red Light Panel Installation guide for more detail on why this step exists.

If the panel still doesn’t turn on after activating the outlet, move on to checking the connections.

Step 2: Check the Connections

Work through each connection point below in order, from the panel itself back to the control box.

  1. Barrel connector: Locate the barrel connector on the red light panel’s power cord — it sits just after the coiled section of the wire. Confirm both halves of the connector are fully mated together.
  2. Back cavity outlet: Open the back latched panel and confirm the red light power cord is fully plugged into the outlet labeled “Red Light” in the back cavity.
  3. Roof connection: Using a ladder, locate the red light wiring connection on the back left of the ceiling and confirm it is firmly seated.
  4. Control box port: On the control box, find the C13 port labeled “Red Light” and press the C14 plug firmly into place to confirm it hasn’t worked loose.

⚠ Important: If all connections are secure and the panel still isn’t responding after completing the activation sequence, contact Plunge Support. There may be a blown fuse in the control box for the red light circuit, or the panel itself may need to be troubleshot.
