Every Plunge cold-plunge product requires its own dedicated circuit — 20 amps for the Plunge All-In and Evolve Pro, 15 amps for the Evolve Standard. A unit may sometimes run on a shared or under-rated circuit when nothing else is connected, but that setup does not reliably prevent trips—especially outdoors in hot weather. Required setup
- The circuit is dedicated to the Plunge. Do not share it with pumps, heaters, appliances, lighting, or other equipment.
- Use the voltage, receptacle type, and GFCI arrangement shown on the product nameplate and setup manual.
- For outdoor installation, use the required weather-rated outlet and an in-use cover that protects the plug.
- Keep the connection dry and accessible.
Extension cords are prohibited
Do not use an extension cord for normal operation or temporary testing. A circuit below your model's required amperage, a shared circuit, or an extension cord can cause trips, overheating, unreliable operation, and loss of warranty coverage.
Stop-use conditions
Unplug the product and contact Support for a burning smell, hot or melted plug, arcing, buzzing, repeated instantaneous trips, or water in an electrical compartment. Do not bypass the GFCI or repeatedly reset the breaker.
