The Plunge app lets you set recurring sauna schedules so your cabin is preheated and ready exactly when you want it — no waiting, no fiddling with the UI panel. Here’s how to set one up.
Before You Start
Your sauna needs to be connected to the Plunge app and online before schedules will work. If you haven’t done that yet, see the How to Connect Your Sauna to the Mobile App guide in the Help Center.
Creating a Schedule
- Open the Plunge app and tap Devices.
- Select your sauna from the device list.
- Tap More, then select Schedule from the menu.
- Tap the + button in the top right corner to create a new schedule.
- Name the schedule. Give it something recognizable — “Morning Session” or “Post-Work” works well if you’re setting up multiple schedules.
- Set the days. Select which days of the week you want the schedule to run.
- Set the start time. Choose when you want the sauna to begin preheating. Factor in heat-up time depending on your model and room temperature so the cabin is at temperature when you’re ready to step in.
- Set the duration and temperature. Enter how long you want the session to run and your preferred temperature.
- Tap Add Schedule. The schedule is now active and will run automatically on the days and times you selected.
Tip: If you want the sauna fully up to temperature the moment you step in, set the start time 20–60 minutes before your planned session. You can adjust this after a few sessions once you have a feel for how quickly your sauna heats up in your space.
⚠ Important: Any adjustments made directly on the sauna’s UI panel — changing temperature, adjusting the timer, or powering the unit on or off — will always override the active schedule. This is intentional and ensures you have full manual control of the sauna at all times, regardless of what the app has scheduled.
Managing Your Schedules
You can view, edit, or delete any saved schedule by returning to the Schedule section in the app and tapping on the schedule you want to change. You can also toggle individual schedules on and off without deleting them, which is handy if your routine changes temporarily.
