Use these Commercial Max and auto-doser preparation and restart steps with the common deep-clean procedure. Read all steps before starting.
Prepare the Commercial Max or auto-doser model
- Pause the tub and wait for the jets to stop.
- Press Test, then unplug the unit.
- Close the colored ball valves on the auto-doser injector manifold by turning them perpendicular to the piping.
- Remove the auto-doser probe and keep it in a cup of water for the entire time it is removed. Catch the small amount of released water with a towel or cup.
- Install the 3/4-inch plug where the probe was installed.
- Turn the auto doser off using its rocker switch.
- Open both injector-manifold ball valves so they are parallel to the piping. Leaving either valve closed restricts flow and can damage the unit.
- Facing the LED display, open the right-side vent and close the skimmer ball valve so it is perpendicular to the piping. Review the commercial skimmer details if needed.
Run the common procedure
Follow Deep Clean Any Plunge Cold Plunge. It requires one 16 fl oz bottle of Oh Yuk or a comparable cleaner at its labeled dose, water at 101°F to 104°F, at least eight hours of overnight circulation, and one 5-to-10-second filterless rinse only after draining and rinsing away the loosened buildup.
Return the Commercial Max or auto-doser model to service
- After the common procedure is complete, pause the tub, wait for the jets to stop, press Test, and unplug it.
- Close the injector-manifold ball valves.
- Remove the plug and reinstall the auto-doser probe according to the initial setup instructions.
- Open both injector-manifold ball valves. They must be parallel to the piping before restart.
- Return the skimmer valve to its normal operating position.
- Plug in the unit, press Reset, and turn the auto doser back on.
- Follow the initial setup and water-maintenance instructions, install a clean filter, and confirm normal flow.
If flow remains restricted or a CF error remains after one complete cycle, stop and contact Plunge Support.
