Trouble Logging into the Plunge App with Apple?

  • Updated

If you're having trouble logging into the Plunge app using Continue with Apple, the issue might be related to how Apple handles user information. Here’s what’s happening and how to resolve it.

Apple’s Sign-In feature prioritizes user privacy:

  • First Sign-In: Apple provides your email and full name.
  • Subsequent Sign-Ins: Apple does not share your email or full name again. Instead, it uses a unique identifier (user ID) to recognize your account.
  • Problem: If you delete your account in the Plunge app and try to sign up again with Apple, the app won't have access to your email or full name, which is required to create a new account.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Open your iPhone Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap Apple IDPassword & SecurityApps Using Your Apple ID (Or search for Sign in with Apple)
  3. Find and tap the Plunge app in the list.
  4. Tap Stop Using Apple ID or Delete.
  5. Return to the Plunge app and sign in with Apple again.

Notes:

  • If you’re unable to sign in after following these steps, please ensure you’re using the same Apple ID as your original account.
  • For subsequent logins, you’ll be authenticated using your unique Apple identifier, not your email or full name
