How to Troubleshoot an Accent LED Light Strip

The accent LED strips run along the backrest and side rests of your sauna, providing the ambient lighting controlled through the Accent setting on your UI panel. If one of these strips stops working or dims unexpectedly, here is how to troubleshoot it.

Please take photos or videos at each step of the troubleshooting process. If we need to order replacement parts, our Support team will use them to process your warranty claim.

Step 1: Troubleshoot Before Replacing

Most accent LED issues are caused by a loose connection rather than a failed strip. Check the following before ordering a replacement part:

  • Roof connections: Using a ladder, check that all wiring connections at the roof are firmly seated. A slightly loose connector at the roof level is one of the most common causes of lighting issues.
  • Control box connection: Locate the connector on the control box labeled “Accent Light” and press it firmly into its port to make sure it is fully seated.
  • In-wall connector: Inside the sauna, gently pull the LED wire slack on the affected wall until the connector emerges. Disconnect and firmly reconnect it, then test the lights.

If all connections are secure and the strip still isn’t working, the strip itself likely needs to be replaced. Contact Plunge Support to arrange a replacement part before proceeding.
