If your door isn’t staying closed or the magnetic strips aren’t connecting cleanly, the fix is usually straightforward. The magnetic strips are designed with a tight fit to hold up in the high-heat environment of the sauna, which means they require deliberate pressure to seat properly against the glass.
Please take photos or videos at each step of the troubleshooting process. If we need to order replacement parts, our Support team will use these to process your warranty claim.
Check 1: Fully Seat the Magnetic Strips
The most common cause of poor magnetic contact is strips that haven’t been pushed all the way down onto the glass panels. Even if they look flush at a glance, they may not have fully bottomed out.
- Look at each strip from the side and confirm the glass is fully inserted into the channel along the entire length of the strip.
- Starting from the bottom of each strip, press firmly along the full length, working your way up. The strips should feel fully seated and stable with no gaps between the strip and the glass edge.
Tip: The bottom of each strip is the best place to start, since the strip tends to sit straighter when seated from the bottom up.
Check 2: Verify Magnet Orientation
The door magnets are installed at a 45-degree angle, and the mating magnets on the front glass panels must be oriented in the opposite direction to attract properly. If the orientation is off, the magnets will either repel each other or make only partial contact.
- Visually inspect both sets of magnets — on the door and on the front glass panels — and confirm they are oriented to attract rather than repel.
- If you’re unsure of the correct orientation, refer to the Assembly Manual or the assembly walkthrough video for a visual reference.
Note: If the strips are fully seated and the magnets are correctly oriented but the door still won’t hold closed, contact Plunge Support — there may be an alignment issue with the door or frame that needs further attention.
