Read First Before Setting Up Your Plunge
Please read the Safety Precautions and Warranty before setting up the Evolve Standard Chiller.
After unpacking please allow the Evolve Standard Chiller to sit for 20 minutes to allow the coolant to settle.
Location Requirements
There should be 12 inches of space on each side of the chiller that is facing out. There needs to be enough space from the wall to the chiller to allow for ventilation of the fan and to have the ability for an easy filter change. Not doing so could potentially damage the chiller and void your warranty.

Set Up
Step 1: Wipe Down Tub
- Using a rag or non abrasive sponge, wipe down the tub. You can use a household degreaser to wipe off any dirt from travel.
|
|
Step 2: Chiller Placement
- Double check that the Plunge and the Chiller are on a solid, flat, waterproof surface.
-
Please note: if you have the unit with the added heater, it needs to be placed outdoors.
- Locate where the chiller connections will connect to the tub and place the chiller fan and UI facing out with the unit 4 inches from the tub.
- When placing the tub and the chiller make sure there is at least 12 inches on the side where the filter is located to give enough space to access and service the unit.
- Check to see if there is 12 inches between the chiller fan and side vent and the walls to allow for ventilation. Not doing so will void your warranty.
|
|
Step 3: Connecting Connection B
- Find connection B and check for the black o-ring inside the connection collar.
- Connect it to the Drain Manifold on the tub indicated in the image. Tighten the collar until it is hand-tight and be careful not to cross thread.
- When you go to connect connection B to the drain port (B) on the chiller check for the black o-ring inside the connection collar and then connect it to the chiller. Hand tighten and be careful not to cross thread.

Step 5: Fill the Plunge
- Fill the interior of the Plunge with water until it reaches 5 inches from the top.
- If you have hard water or are on well water with high amounts of calcium, please use an Ion Exchange Filter to fill the tub.
|
|
Step 6: Plug In the Evolve Standard Chiller
- Check that all colored ball valves are open (parallel to the tub).
- Once the tub is full you can plug in your Plunge to a dedicated 15 amp Circuit (120V).
Note: Ensure the Evolve Standard Chiller has rested for at least 20 minutes for the coolant to settle before plugging it into the outlet.
If you plan to use an extension cord, it needs to be 12 gauge to give the plunge sufficient power up to 25 feet.
|
|
Step 7: Turning the Plunge On
- Double check that all the colored ball valves on the chiller connections are open (parallel to the piping).
- Press the reset button on the GFCI plug and you should see the UI turn on.
- Hold the lock button on the UI for 5 seconds until you hear a beep and the lock symbol disappears.
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
- You should hear the jets and chiller fan turn on and the chiller will begin priming.
- If you do not feel water coming out of the jets, please perform an air purge.
|
|
Step 8: Set Your Temperature
- Make sure the chiller is in cooling mode (snowflake).
- You can change the mode by pressing the mode button if you have a unit with the added heater.
- Use the up and down arrows to change the set temperature to your desired temperature.
- Please note: If you have a chiller with an added heater it cannot be used indoors. This unit is outdoors only. There may be significant condensation.
