Applies to: Plunge All-In (residential).
Air trapped in the circulation system can cause low flow, no flow, gurgling, or excessive bubbling. Please follow the steps below to purge the air from your Plunge All-In.
Before you start: Make sure the tub is filled to its normal operating level, and have your filter wrench and a towel within reach.
- Make sure the unit is powered off.
- Remove the decorative lid, and then remove the filter lid. The lid may be tight — use the filter wrench to slowly unscrew it if it will not turn by hand. Expect some water at the lid.
- Thread the filter lid back on so it is only lightly seated. Then back it off approximately 1/2 to 3/4 turn. The lid should stay engaged with the threads but remain loose enough to let trapped air escape.
- Rest the filter wrench on the filter lid and be prepared to tighten it.
- Power the unit on. Stay with the unit for the rest of this procedure — do not leave it running with the filter lid loose.
- Listen for air escaping from around the filter lid. A small amount of water may also seep from the lid during this step — this is normal. Do not tighten the lid while air is still venting. Let the circulation system keep venting until the gurgling stops and no more air escapes.
- Once the air has been purged, lightly tighten the filter lid — just enough to stop any water from escaping. Do not fully tighten the lid at this time.
- Watch the front jet (on the slanted wall). Wait until the water flow is steady and all visible air bubbles have disappeared.
- Press Pause to stop the circulation pump.
- Wait until Pause has completely stopped the circulation pump. Flow from the front jet will stop.
- Hand-tighten the filter lid until fully seated. Do not use the filter wrench for final tightening. Reinstall the decorative lid.
- Press Pause again to resume normal operation.
Expected result: The circulation system should now be fully primed, with a steady stream of water from the front jet and no visible air bubbles. The rear jet (on the vertical wall) may continue to produce bubbles — this is normal and is part of the aeration and ozone system.
If flow is still low or the front jet is still producing air bubbles, repeat steps 1–12. If the issue is not resolved after three attempts, please submit a support ticket and our team will assist.
